05/12/2011: Reja: "I would like to continue like this"

After a comfortable win against Novara at the Olimpico, Lazio are still able to keep up with the teams at the top of the table. After three matches without scoring a single goal, Lazio coach Edy Reja were pleased about today's victory:

"Despite the setback against Juventus, I would like to continue on this path. The victory against Novara was crucial. It is a result that will give us better moral and more confidence. Now we are close to the top, and our appetite for success is growing."

Most people think that the first two spots on the table are reserved for Milan & Juventus. Lately, Lazio, together with Udinese & Napoli have been the favourites to grab the last Champions League spot:

"I am not sure if Udinese are stronger then us. Last season they were, and this season they continue in the same path despite having sold many key players."

Djibril Cissé failed to score once again, even if he could not have been closer. Edy Reja still does not worry about his striker's lack of goals:

"He did well tonight. He chased players, and helped out in defence. I was hoping he would score to calm him down for the match against Lecce. He is a loyal guy, and he knows that he is going through a difficult time, but he has accepted that I am playing Rocchi. He has shown patience and willingness."
