With everyone lost for words after an abysmal display against Siena, Edy Reja took responsibility and apologized for the fans.
"This is the worst game since I have taken charge at Lazio. I apologize to the fans. Today it was as if we were absent, I take full responsibility. This team is not my Lazio, the team's potential showed in the first half of the season. But we ended 2011 with a disaster against Chievo, and we started 2012 in the worse way possible. I still don't know what happened or why that happened. We must think of the reasons, yes Siena were well prepared. We only showed a reaction when we were 3-0 down, but it was already too late and it was as then a matter of us waiting for the game to end."
Reja was asked to comment on Sculli's substitution as the player showed his disatisfaction at being called out.
"He had a yellow card, and he seemed nervous so I wanted to avoid another red card, he asked me to leave him on to play another five minutes, but I could not risk it."
