This afternoon Lazio welcome Catania home at Formello. So far Catania is the only team to have beaten Bollini's boys this season and Lazio were looking for revenge.

Bollini was still not able to select captain Luca Crescenzi who is out injured. Onazi also did not make it back, while Zampa will again be with the first team. The goal machine Tommaso Ceccarelli is on his way to Juve Stabia on a loan for the remainder of the season.

Despite several players out Lazio won comfortably in the end. When the referee blew the whistle for the last time the score was 4-0 to Lazio with goals from Cavanda, Vilkaitis, Vivacqua and Barreto.

Lazio (4-3-3):
Berardi; Serpieri (71' Tira), Marin, Sbraga, Vilkaitis; Cilfone, Vivacqua (60' Barreto), Cavanda; Rozzi, Cataldi, Emmanuel (65' Salustri)

Unused subs: Scarfagna, Ilari, De Francesco, Monteforte

Roma also had a tricky fixture when they travelled to Sicily to face 3rd placed Palermo. Roma won 1-0 and are still 1st in the table with Lazio one point behind.

After the victory coach Bollini was interviewed:

"A team victory! We did well to beat a team that had 5 victories in their last 6 games. I am so happy for Ceccarelli. He has helped the team and the team has helped him. When one of our players go to Serie B it is like winning a Scudetto."
