Diego Simeone was very happy after the game with Lazio last night. The reason was his team was clearly better and won. “Congratulations to my players,we won a very difficult game. We did well to react in time to the Lazio goal, with ambition and pride. The team gave their souls for that game and I’m proud of seeing that”. The night was special for one more thing. Simeone returned to Olimpico. The whole stadium was chanting “Simeo, Simeo, Simeone” and the fans gave him a plaque with the inscription “Welcome home Cholo”. “It was one of the nicest things that happened to me since I’ve been in football. I have a great memory of this environment and these fans and because of this I know I’ll hold the qualifying speech. I know Lazio will be in Madrid to win.” – added Simeone.
