Despite Lazio's defeat last Sunday against Bologna, the team are still oncourse for Champions League qualification and are holding onto third place by the skin of their teeth.

Reja told Corriere dello Sport: "We must defend third place because now all the teams are hunting for it. We must have total confidence in our means beyond the difficulties and accidents of late. If we are in this positions we also deserve the merits. We have to consider all behind teams like Roma, Udinese and Napoli who, considering their strength, are the greatest threat".

Ahead of the tie against Catania tomorrow Reja added: "Catania are a revelation. We must change our approach to the game against Bologna and play with much more intensity, balance and focus. Montella? I like him from last year how he set the team and for his calmness and balance. He makes very good choices, despite his young age he has maturity".
