25/06/2012: Yilmaz: "I am 80% sure I will play in Italy"
email print
Burak Yilmaz has said that he is now 80% certain that he will play for Lazio next season. In today's Corriere dello Sport, the newspaper talks of Lazio's latest 'soap opera' but states that, although Maxi Lopez, Nilmar and Manchester City's young hotshot John Guidetti are all potential options, Yilmaz remains the likely recruit as he is, after all, Vladimir Petkovic's top priority.

The player himself is confident that a deal willo be done:

"I know the two clubs are still in discussion but I anticipate a positive outcome. I cannot say the deal is entirely defined, but I am 80% certain I will play in Italy [next season]. I expect that we will know more within 3 days."

At present, the clubs are said to be bickering over how the transfer fee will be paid rather than how much should be paid. Lotito wants to pay in three separate installments - Trabzonspor want to be paid in a single installment.
