The vast majority of Italian newpapers are reporting on Lazio's press conference yesterday where Ederson was officially unveiled to the media.

La Repubblica take a negative approach with their news, summarising the betting scandal in Italy with an image of a spider's web that shows the link between 'The Gypsies', the Singaporean betting ring and individuals involved in the controversy. Named on the diagram is Stefano Mauri's close friend, Alessandro Zamperini who the prosecutors allege Mauri placed illegal bets with.

Corriere dello Sport focus on Lazio's retreat to Auronzo di Cadore. Despite outlining that he would like to take 4-5 youth players to Auronzo di Cadore, the paper speculates that only Antonio Rozzi and Eddy Onazi will actually take the trip with young Keita on standby should he be cleared to play. Klose and Brocchi will not travel, the former needs to recover after his efforts in the Euros while the latter is still recovering from injury. Stankevicius and Sculli are expected to be omitted as their services are no longer required at Lazio. There is also a chance that Cavanda and Zauri will remain in Rome until a spot becomes available for them in Auronzo.

Petkovic met his staff yesterday. His assistant is Antonio Manicone, who assisted Sassuolo coach Fulvio Pea and Inter coach Stramaccioni during their spells in charge of Inter Primavera. He also assisted Zdenek Zeman in the past. Paolo Rongoni will be in charge of fitness training, a trainer Petkovic has worked with previously and Adriano Bianchini will oversee recovery along with Alessandro Fonte, who has been promoted following his work with the youth teams.
