Corriere dello Sport focus predominantly on Lazio's failure to capture Yilmaz. The Turkish striker has found an agreement with Lokomotiv Moscow, who offered the 5million + 25% of future sale that Trabzonspor were demanding for the striker. That made the wealthy Russians the frontrunners and they have now offered Yilmaz 4million euro a year to play in Russia. In response to the news, Igli Tare was dismissive, suggesting that it is Yilmaz's loss as Lazio already have Zarate and Floccari returning. However, Corriere dello Sport believe that Lazio had their sights set on four targets at the end of last season and now both Breno and Yilmaz have managed to evade the club, the mercato is in a state of chaos. Luckily for Tare, Vladimir Petkovic may be glad the deal fell through. According to Il Tempo, Petkovic has asked the Director of Sport to forget about the market until the club departs from Auronzo di Cadore as he wants to evaluate an already significant squad.

Tuttosport carries news on a new law that is being proposed in Italy that would in theory make it easier for clubs to build their own stadiums as long as the stadium is the centre of the project. This gives Claudio Lotito hope of realising his stadium project at Lazio.

A number of newspapers are focusing on the alternatives to Breno and Yilmaz. La Repubblica believe that Hugo Rodallega could prove to be the back-up plan for Yilmaz. Corriere dello Sport reckon the search for a striker will revert back to previous targets in Maxi Lopez and Nilmar while Cesare Natali is a free solution to the centre-back predicament.
