Today the season Primavera season started and Lazio started of with a victory against Pescara.

Lazio (4-3-3): Scarfagna, Ilari, Filippini, Mazzei, Vilkaitis, Falasca, Cataldi, Crecco, Lombardi, Tira, Rozzi

Bench: Di Piero, Paterni, Pollace, Carta, Andreoli, Pace, De Francesco, Rosario, Serpieri

After lashing out on the Italian youth system only a few days ago Alberto Bollini have decided to change almost the entire starting lineup this season. With several new players he now got a much younger squad, and it will most likely take some time for the players to gel.

Scarfagna, Ilari, Vilkaitis and Rozzi were starters last season and also participated today. The promising midfielder Cataldi was one of the best players on the field and will be the heart of the team this season. The Romanian striker Tira was also a part of the primavera last season but was rarely used.

Lazio needed ten minutes to get the first goal of the season, when Tira scored on a cross. In the second half Cataldi made it 2-0 with a shot in the bottom corner. In the 80th minute Antonio Rozzi sealed the victory for the young eagles.

A convincing first match for the Primavera with many new faces in the squad. Players like Strakosha, Keita and Antic did not take part today and it will be interesting to see if they are in the starting lineup next Saturday when the youngsters travel to Palermo.
