Lazio's iconic goalkeeper from the fifties, Bob Lovati has passed away at the age of 84.
Lovati left Torino for Lazio in 1955, where he played for 6 seasons, winning Lazio's first Coppa Italia in 1958.

Lovati stopped his goalkeeping career in 1961, but he remained faithfull to Lazio.
First as a youth coach, then later as the first team coach and even manager of S.S. Lazio.

Bob Lovati was Maestrelli's right hand at Lazio's Scudetto season in 1974.
And also helped Lazio through some dark years at the end of the seventies and early eighties.

In 1985 he left Lazio as a coach, but he remained close to his beloved Lazio, for 56 years.

RIP BOB LOVATI 1927-2011
