05/12/2012: Lazio reignite interest in Xandao

Sporting Lisbon defender Xandao could be on his way to Rome and Lazio when the mercato re-opens in January. The Brazilian defender, who has been in Portugal on loan for the previous 12 months could be bought for as little as 2 million euro as he is owned by a third party.

His agent has confirmed to the media that his client could move to Lazio and Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare continue to work on the deal. In the summer, it was suggested that he could move to Lazio as Sporting Lisbon were struggling to keep him due to financial troubles but with the situation only resolved temporarily, Xandao may be keen to make a permanent move to Lazio.

In other news, Lazio may also make a move tof Ukrainian international striker, Artem Milevskiy. The forward will be out of contract in January and Liverpool are believed to be interested in him but with Mauro Zarate and Sergio Floccari nearing the exit door, Milevskiy is surely an attractive and affordable option.
