Stefan Radu gave an interview following Lazio’s win last night against Maribor in the Europa League group stage, which finished 4:1 for Lazio. As Lazio captain in this game he was very happy and pleased with the result. His joy was also a result of putting his name on the score sheet for the first time for Lazio. “We passed the group being on first place. It was a memorable evening!”

“It doesn’t matter who plays. We all want to play and to form a group that is doing well.We played well against Parma, but we fell asleep. Tonight we woke up! I feel fine playing in a three man defense and a four man defense. The role suits me well. We finish this half of the season soon and we must win the game with Bologna. We must do so in order to chase a place in Champions League. We want to progress in all three stages we are playing right now” – added Stefan.

The Romanian defender managed to get his name in the score sheet: “I was waiting for this goal for almost 5 years now, but it came in the right time. Tomorrow I’m getting married! My wife is expecting twins! I dedicate this goal to my late father and my mother. My team mates always tell me I’m going to score, but now I really did!”

Then he went commenting on being captain: “I’m not used to it. The armband is very heavy, but I’m pleased with the result. Now I feel good, the performance will be better than last year” – finished Radu.
