21/03/2013: Onazi: “No racism in Rome”
email print

Lazio midfielder Eddy Onazi recognises the racism issues in Italy but claims he has never experienced any in Rome.

Lazio were handed a two match supporter ban from UEFA due to persistent racist behavior from a small sector of the fans. Onazi was answering questions today on his twitter and commented on the problems facing the country:

“In Italy we feel the situation over racism, however I live in Rome and have never experienced any of that unpleasantness. The fans are wonderful here!”

Lazio will play Fenerbahce behind closed doors next month in the second of their 2 match punishment.
