09/06/2013: Campionato Nazionale Primavera: Lazio 3-0 Atalanta
email print

Lazio have won their fifth Campionato Nazionale Primavera and their first since 2001 following a comprehensive victory over Atalanta in Gubbio this evening.

Lazio never looked like losing after getting off to a great start courtesy of a fantastic Danilo Cataldi free-kick in the seventh minute. Lazio had opportunities to double their lead before half-time with Keita Balde Diao going very close after some fine work my Mamadou Tounkara.

Mamadou Tounkara had a stellar game and on the 61st minute, he turned provider, this time for Danilo Cataldi who managed to tuck the ball away where Keita previously failed to double Lazio's lead.

Tounkara's big night was rounded off with a goal of his own, beating Atalanta's stopper with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining. It was game over at that point and Bollini's boys went on to secure the 3-0 win and with it, the Scudetto Primavera!
