With the season drawing towards an end, Lazio scouts have apparently submitted their reports and Lotito and Tare are already completing the squad for the next season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are interested in signing Albanian International Lorik Cana from Galatasaray. The 27 year old midfielder has reportedly been a target for the biancocelesti since January when Lazio offered the Turkish club 4 million euros.
Cana has moved to Galatasaray from Sunderland asn has played in the past for PSG, Marseille, and started his career in Lausanne in Switzerland.
As an Albanian international too, Cana is said to have close ties with Igle Tare the former Albanian striker, and has welcomed the idea of joining Lazio in the summer. It is reported that he is offered a 5 year deal worth 1.5 million a season.
Another summer target appears to be River Plate starlet Erik Lamela. The 20 year old Argentinean is said to be a prodigy play maker and has been in a stellar form this season with River Plate. The young boy was about to be taken to Barcelona at the age of 12, but River Plate interefered with a ludicrous offer to his parents to have him stay in Argentina.
Lazio are facing stiff competition from various European clubs including Milan and Atletico Madrid, but Lotito believes he was what it takes to beat the competition, and those are CASH versus Installments, and the make weight card of Carizzo the Argentinean goal keeper who is currently on loan with RiverPlate.
Lazio's ties with River Plate are strong, and this could help in finalizing this deal.
However it is being reported that Passarella has placed a 20 million euro price tag over the head of Lamela. Lotito's offer is estimated to be around 13 million euros, 8 million in cash, and 5 being the value of Carizzo.
Will this offer see Lazio emerge with his signature, only time will tell.
