  11/08/2013: Klose reigns at Palace

Lazio's Supercoppa preparations appear to be going well as Lazio took a trip to London to conquer Crystal Palace. It took only 12 minutes for Miroslav Klose to open the scoring as he tucked away the rebound from an Antonio Candreva shot and Lazio held firm for a further 78 minutes as the German once again proved to be the difference.

Although Ian Holloway's Palace side lined up differently to how you would expect them to in the Premier League, it was a solid win for Lazio on foreign soil as Vladimir Petkovic appeared to try out his favoured eleven with the following setup;

Lazio (4-2-3-1): Marchetti, Konko, Dias, Biava, Radu, Biglia, Ledesma, Candreva, Hernanes, Lulic, Klose.

Next week, Lazio will take on Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico for the Supercoppa Italiana and the players can now go into that game with the confidence of a final morale-boosting win.
