  23/08/2013: Candreva renewal looms
email print

Antonio Candreva will soon begin negotiations for a new contract according to Correire dello Sport. The Lazio midfielder is highly coveted and in an attempt to keep the player happy in Rome, Lotito is expected to discuss a pay rise.

There is also the possibility that Lotito will try to kill two birds with one stone and secure Udinese's 50% of Candreva's rights before the transfer window closes. Lotito is aware that Udinese want Kozak and the president will be keen to avoid losing Candreva in a blind auction which will take place on June 30, 2014 if a resolution is not found in the meantime. It may be in Lotito's best interests to conclude a deal now before the Italian international's stock rises further and while Libor Kozak has time left to run on his contract.
