email print

Lazio have been drawn in Group J with Trabzonspor, Legia Warszawa and Apollon Limassol in the group stage of the 2013/14 Europa League.

Lazio were seeded first for the draw and qualified having won the Coppa Italia. Trabzonspor qualified for the Europa League as losing finalists in the Turkish Cup and they defeated Albania's league runners-up FC Kukesi 5-1 on aggregate yesterday evening to progress. Legia Warszawa are the champions in Poland and enter the Europa League having been eliminated from Champions League qualifying on away goals by Steaua Bucharest. Apollon Limassol qualified for the Europa League by winning the Cypriot Cup and they squeezed into the main draw by eliminated Nice.

Vladimir Petkovic will be confident his side can progress, but the group is probably more difficult than it looks on paper.
