  23/09/2013: Salvatori: 'Ciani is fine'
email print

Michael Ciani has been passed fit for Catania on Wednesday, but Dr Stefano Salvatori has told LazioStyle Radio that Abdoulay Konko will not be able to play:

"Konko has a muscular problem in his right thigh, which we will assess closely in the next 24 to 36 hours. Tomorrow we will examine the injury and will know better then. Meanwhile, Ciani is fine. He only had cramps, he was just tired like everyone else and is available for selection."

"Everything else is going well, in the next few days, Radu will begin physical therapy which he needs after the knee injury."

The defence has been left obliterated by injury and suspension following Andre Dias' red card yesterday. With Konko out, the only available wing-backs are Luis Pedro Cavanda and Bruno Pereirinha with only Lorik Cana and Michael Ciani available at centre-back. As a result, the Primavera's Josip Elez has been asked to train with the first team today.
