04/10/2013: Mauri: "I want to lead my Lazio"

Lazio captain Stefano Mauri insists he can't wait to get on the field again. His ban was lengthened to 9 months but the Monza born midfielder claims he has faith in his appeal:

"I am confident in the TNAS for a quick decision which will finally allow me to return to the field to lead my teammates and my Lazio."

"After jail, the house arrest, allegations of illegal sports betting and two appearances in front of the sports tribunal still punish Mauri, who will turn to the TNAS which is the last option left. I am paying 9 months for my friendship with Alessandro Zamperini".
