  04/11/2013: Hernanes: "I have never felt so good"
email print

Hernanes has been talking about his future on LazioStyle Radio this morning;

"Out of respect and consideration for the fans, I want to state that I have a contract with Lazio that I intend to honour with the same passion and professionalism that I have since the beginning, training harder than I have been asked to and taking to the field even when I am not 100%."

"In January, I took a knock and was told by doctors that I needed 40 days out but I took to the field after 10 days because I am a professional and I am passionate about what I do."

"In relation to my role, I want to state that it is the same as last year when I scored 14 goals and already this year, I have three. I feel good, I have never felt so good even if the results contradict this, my feelings are good. I am fine and want to deny all these rumours."

"We want to do well - this is our responsibility to the fans. Things are not going well, but we are united, we care, and we hope things get better. We are strong and we want to prove that."

"I'm happy with my performance. There are things I am doing this year that I have not been able to do before."

"I will never go off and seek for the renewal. If the society are happy with me, I expect to be asked to renew. I will never go knocking - I'm doing my job and if they are happy with me, they will call and we will talk. I still have a year-and-a-half on my contract, and as yet I have not had the opportunity to sign but there are others in this position."

"We know that we rely on each other. If a player does not look in good form, it affects us all. We know from the past that when all is well, individuals emerge, numbers are good and with time, the results come."

"We regret losing to Fenerbahce last year and this year, we want to reach the very end [the final of Europa League}. Apollon have shown that they are a good team, we must be focused on Thursday as we play at home and we have to get a result. We must show the fans that we are the strongest. This is the meaning of football - to show the fans your strength. Without fans, there is no football."
