19/11/2013: Biglia: "I have to do my best with Lazio"

Lucas Biglia has had a difficult start to the 2013-14 season having arrived at Lazio from Anderlecht. The Argentine international was a signing that suggested a step forward in class for Lazio, but a few months later, Biglia has found himself struggling for fitness and has recently made Gazzetta dello Sport's XI of Serie A signings who have flopped.

Despite this, Biglia remains a staple of the Argentine national team and is fully focused on being on the plane to Brazil:

"To take part in it [the World Cup] would be the realisation of a dream. I think the time is right, the best moment in my career and I am working hard to grow. From now to June, I have to do my best with Lazio to try and make the list that will go to Brazil."

Biglia confessed that Pirlo is a model for him, as is Barcelona's midfielder Sergio Busquets:

"I like their style and I see a little of them in myself. I am a director who distributes for the game, always moving the ball. I have been doing this since my childhood and then you try to improve without losing what you have learned."

Biglia has the highest pass completion rate for a Lazio midfielder in Serie A this season having found a teammate with 86% of his passes, and the Argentine is expected to start against Sampdoria this weekend.
