Juan Pablo Carrizo has spoken to Radio Marte about his situation with River Plate. His interview comes after Passarella hinted that River Plate are not willing to pay the sum set by Lazio.
"Let us be clear," Carrizo said. "I have a contract with Lazio until 2013, and I intend to respect my contract with Lazio. I am not looking for renegotiations. My fee is set by Lazio, and if RiverPlate want me, then they have to pay it. I don't want to waste time, the life of a footballer is short and Passarella knows that." said Carrizo.
While reports suggested that Lazio could be willing to use Carrizo as part of the sale that would bring Lama to Lazio, another option talked about extending his loan at River. Asked about the options Carrizo said:
"I do not know. I can not know what the intentions of Lazio are, and seriously Passarella should be talking to Lotito about my situation not to me. I am not the one who should find a solution to this, my job is to play. If things don't work out, there is really no need to blame anyone." concluded Carrizo.
