15/01/2014: Reja: "Hernanes? I think he stays here"

Edy Reja shed some light on Lazio's present and future in his post-match interview:

"Parma had more legs, more creativity and more quality and we suffered. Our goalkeeper made some really fine saves. Congratulations to the boys for showing heart."

"We do not have the intensity levels that I want. It requires patience but the guys are showing some good workouts. Now we move forward in the Europa League and Coppa Italia."

Asked if playing in three competitions had contributed to the loss of form, Reja was keen to stress that it was not that simple:

"A little bit maybe, but there are many factors. This team did well for four months, with the group we created with three years of work. When the lights went off, there was the inclusion of other players, there were some injuries and then came the difficulty."

"I have asked for some players, and the president [Claudio Lotito] has said he will satisfy me. Hernanes? He's fine here, but I do not know what can happen in the market. When there is an opportunity to improve, you look, but I think he stays here."

"We did well in the first 20 minutes and had three opportunities to score, but then Parma came back and we collapsed. We won the game because of heart."

"The players I fielded have certain characteristics. I do not need to invent anything, I just let them play where they are best suited."

"I was angry about the goal because you cannot defend in that way. I knew it was probably inevitable we would concede with so many players. Klose? He was coming in as I wanted to play with two strikers but Ederson had some problems and Novaretti had cramp and so I had to put in Candreva."

"If we could play for an hour as we did for 20 minutes, I would be satisfied."
