29/01/2014: Latest on the Hernanes transfer saga

Lazio midfielder Hernanes seems to be involved in a tug-of-war between Lazio and Inter. Amid reports that the Brazilian had agreed personal terms with Inter yesterday there is still no deal.

According to CdS, the latest offer was 13.5 million Euros plus youngster M'baye. They report that Lazio are holding for more money and seem to think that they would settle at 16 million Euros plus the Senegalese.

Hernanes' agent, Joseph Lee, arrived at Formello today however to attend a meeting with Lotito over a contract extension. Lotito denied earlier today that he has ever put Hernanes up for sale telling reporters:

"I have not put Hernanes up for sale, nor do I intend to. We want him here, but if he wants to go he must tell us."

It seems Lotito will test his loyalty by offering him a 5 year deal worth 2.2 million Euros per year.

Incidentally, Lee is scheduled to fly to Milan tonight as he is also the agent of Diamanti and Bianbiany. Could there be another twist in the tale?
