  28/02/2014: Keita: "We were unlucky"
email print
Keita Balde Diao took a minute to speak to reporters in Sofia after the disappointing 3-3 draw with Ludogorets Razgrad that dumped Lazio out of Europe:

"We were unlucky. That was it. We relaxed a little at 0-2 and they gained confidence."

"The season is not over and we can still do well. We go back to Rome angry and disappointed."

Keita spoke in more depth about the game with the LazioStyle Channel:

"I'm happy with my first goal in Europe but I am disappointed with the defeat, both for us and the fans. I would have signed up to make the next round and not score."

"We started the game with the right attitude. In the second half, we were too deep in the field and relaxed a little. Then Marchetti's misfortune took over with an error, which can happen. He is a great goalkeeper and mistakes like this can happen [to great players], just like we've seen with Felipe [Felipe Anderson]."

"Tomorrow, we have to start thinking about Sunday. I feel sorry, as we were superior to Ludogorets. Elimination is down to small details, and unfortunately that was the difference today."
