30/04/2014: Lazio set to pass on Kakuta

Lalaziosiamonoi.it claim that Lazio will not seek to secure the permanent signing of Gael Kakuta once his loan expires this summer. The Frenchman completed a late move to Lazio at the end of the transfer window with Director of Sport Igli Tare promising that Lazio will find him to be a good player, even though many viewed the signing as a desperate last-ditch effort to replace the outgoing Hernanes.

Lalaziosiamonoi.it say that the player has did little wrong in training and has shown his worth, but that Edy Reja believes the player needs to adapt to the league and do more on a tactical level. With both Keita and Lulic ahead of Kakuta in the pecking order, it seems as though Lazio do not have any interest in purchasing Kakuta and then waiting for him to be ready for Serie A.

Kakuta has made only two appearances for Lazio since signing in January.
