23/05/2014: Lazio consider Clasie as De Vrij nears

Stefan De Vrij's move to Lazio edges ever closer. It is believed Lazio and De Vrij have already agreed terms, but Lazio appear to have also agreed a price with Feyenoord, said to be in the region of 7-8 million euro. There is, however, a stumbling block. According to the latest reports Feyenoord have requested the full payment in one immediate installment, while Claudio Lotito would like to pay the transfee fee over three installments. This is a common issue, however, and a resolution should be found soon.

In the meantime, reports from Holland suggest Lazio also have one eye on Feyenoord's Dutch international midfielder Jordy Clasie. When asked about the reported interest, Feyenoord's technical director Martin van Geel stated his belief that Lazio do not have the finances to buy both De Vrij and Clasie this summer.
