AfricanFootball.com claim Edy Onazi has informed them he will return to the field in 12 days.

Onazi was badly injured in Nigeria's second round clash with France after a poor challenge from Matuidi. Although initially believed to have suffered a fractured leg, Onazi quickly denied claims but didn't give much information.

According to the African website though he only has ankle ligament damage and the player even claimed he will be training in 12 days time - a record for this type of injury. Onazi told the site:

"I am feeling better now. I didn't fracture any bones as reported. I am in Abuja receiving treatment. Thanks to all for your support".
