13/07/2014: Miroslav Klose wins World Cup
email print

Miroslav Klose has won the World Cup, becoming the first Lazio player to hold the Jules Rimet trophy since Massimo Oddo and Angelo Peruzzi in 2006.

Klose worked hard but had a relatively quiet night as Germany struggled to find a way through Argentina's resolute defence. He was substituted in the 88th minute and his replacement Mario Goetze went on to score the opener and winner in the 113th minute.

LazioLand.com would like to congratulate Miroslav Klose on his World Cup win in addition to becoming the leading goalscorer in World Cup history.

Commiserations to Lucas Biglia, who played the entire 120 minutes for Argentina only for his efforts to be in vain. Our community is extremely proud of both players.
