14/07/2014: Biava: "When I saw the two choreographies, I knew Lazio had won"

Giuseppe Biava has spoken in-depth to Radiosei about his four-and-a-half years at Lazio:

"My farewell to Lazio depended solely on my family. The distance [between Rome and Bergamo] was beginning to take its toll. I would like to continue playing, but close to home as age is catching up with me, especially after a few injuries."

"I am sad that I could not stay with Lazio and remain a point of reference for the youth. I want to be with my friends in Auronzo, but then I look at my daughter and I understand that it was worthwhile [leaving Lazio]."

"It has been incredible to play for a fanbase so important and warm. For me, who never won anything, that Coppa Italia against Roma was so special. It was not a good game - everyone was afraid of making mistakes - but in the end we deserved to win. When I saw the two choreographies, I knew Lazio had won already in the stands."

Biava congratulated Klose in the interview as well as sympathising with Biglia. He described Astori as his heir and said the Lazio defence would be in safe hands should he join from Cagliari. Finally, Biava gave his verdict on Edy Reja and Vladimir Petkovic:

"Reja was like a dad, he always managed to bring the best character out of each player. Vladimir was more closed, was less jovial and had less dialogue with the team. He probably paid for his inexperience, which was the one thing Reja could boast."
