16/07/2014: Auronzo di Cadore: Day 5
email print
Only one training session on day five. Having worked his players quite hard, and neglected to give them the morning after the friendly before off, Pioli finally relents. The players are not permitted to report for training until 5pm, although some are scheduled to sign autographs for fans while others encounter fans as they take the free time to explore the camp.

Pioli begins the evening session by dividing his team into two groups. These groups work on ball possession exercises and specific attacking exercises before playing a match. The goalkeepers work separately up until kick-off, when Berisha and Marchetti are drafted in. The teams were as follows

Bibs (4-3-3): Berisha, Basta, Cana, Ciani, Braafheid, Cataldi, Elez, Vinicus, Anderson, Rozzi, Oikonomidis

Non-bibs (4-3-3): Marchetti, Konko, Novaretti, Radu, Filippini, Ledesma, Mauri, Antic, Pereirinha, Alfaro, Keita.

During the game, Pioli alternates Radu and Cavanda in order to see more of his defenders play in more than one position. The game is won by the team wearing the bibs as Rozzi finds the net, and that brings an end to another day at Auronzo di Cadore.
