According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ogenyi Onazi is on the radar of Premier League side Southampton after an impressive World Cup campaign with Nigeria. The English club have plenty of spending money this transfer window having sold off a number of their prized assets, including Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert to Liverpool, and they could be set to use the kitty to invest in the 21 year-old midfielder. Meanwhile Lalaziosiamonoi.it believe Onazi is also on the radar of Sunderland.

Nigerian website sl10 reports, however, that Onazi is in "no hurry" to leave Lazio and intends to "respect his contract."

Onazi is already in Rome and is scheduled to report for pre-season training on Sunday. He believes he is now fully recovered from the ankle injury sustained in Nigeria's game against France in the World Cup.
