23/07/2014: BREAKING: Astori deal is off
email print

The negotiations for Davide Astori are off. Cagliari's Director of Sport Francesco Marroccu told Lalaziosiamonoi that the deal was off and Tommaso Giulini, Cagliari President, has since spoken to Sky Italia:

"We made a counter offer of 7 million euro, firm and binding. An hour ago, Lotito informed Marroccu by phone that he is not interested for those figures and to consider ourselves free [to sell to another club]. For me, the deal is closed."

It appears that a move to Lazio will only materialise if Cagliari lower their valuation, but the Sardinian club are claiming that Astori will now sign a three-year deal and that further negotiations will not take place.
