31/07/2014: Reja to make Lazio return?
email print

Edy Reja could return to S.S. Lazio by the end of 2014. Il Messaggero believe the Lazio manager, who opted to leave Lazio at the end of the season, could return as technical director.

Reja chose to leave Lazio at the end of the season in the wake of fan protests, believing that a change of manager may be in the best interests of the club moving forward. The Gorizian tactician still enjoys a great relationship with President Claudio Lotito, and visited Auronzo di Cadore last week to spend some time with his former players. He also had a conversation with Stefano Pioli, whom he had recommended as his successor, and it is believed all parties are now open to the idea of returning as technical director.

Reja's reluctance to return to Lazio boils down to his passion for management. Il Messaggero believes he will wait to see if an opportunity presents itself early in the new 2014/15 before deciding on whether to take up a directorial position at Lazio.
