The Biancocelesti are reportedly ready to offer €6m to sign French defender Younes Kaboul from the Tottenham Hotspur.

According to the Daily Express, Kaboul is seen as a promising buy for Lazio after they snapped up Oranje international Stefan De Vrij from Feyenoord.

The bid on the table is currently €6m (around £4.75m), below the Spurs asking price of €8m (£6.3m).

As the centre-back’s contract expires in June 2015, it is likely Tottenham will accept this lower offer.

The 28-year-old France international has the versatility Lazio are looking for, as he can also play right-back or even in midfield. Kaboul has appeared in 68 games for Tottenham since 2010.
