28/08/2014: Emiliano Alfaro returns to Uruguay
email print

S.S. Lazio have announced that Emiliano Alfaro has returned to his former club Liverpool FC of Montevideo. The 26 year-old centre-forward, who joined Lazio in January 2012, had participated in pre-season training in Auronzo di Cadore but it soon became clear his future lay elsewhere.

Alfaro has barely featured for Lazio since his move two-and-a-half years ago. He was sent on loan to Al Wasl in the U.A.E but despite doing well, Lazio wanted to send him out on loan with Cesena of Serie B interested. The player refused the move and since then, has found himself sidelined by the club.

Alfaro still has two years left to run on his deal, so Lazio will be hoping that his former club are interested to make the move permanent by the end of the loan deal.
