  13/11/2014: Bruised but not broken
email print

Federico Marchetti, Stefano Mauri and Stefan Radu are in a race to be fit for Juventus as none of them are able to train fully having suffered significant bruises to their bodies.

Marchetti is unable to train with a badly-bruised side, while Radu has missed both Cagliari and Empoli having hurt his lower back. The club were worried that Stefano Mauri had picked up a serious injury in the game with Empoli, but it appears he has merely bruised his right thigh.

Long-term absentees Dusan Basta and Keita Balde Diao are expected to be ready for Juventus. Lazio team doctor Stefano Salvatori has admitted that the Serbian right-back is further along on the road to recovery than Keita, but the club are hopeful both will be fine in 10 days time.

Danilo Cataldi will definitely miss out on Juventus. A hamstring injury will sideline him for a few more weeks, and it is unlikely we will see him at his best in 2014.
