  16/11/2014: Lazio consider Pioli renewal
email print

Stefano Pioli could be set to receive a Christmas present from Lazio president Claudio Lotito as the Lazio hierarchy consider offering Pioli a deal which will see him remain at Lazio until 2017.

Pioli's deal expires at the end of the season, although there is an option to extend for another year on the basis of achieving European qualification. Claudio Lotito, however, will be desperate to avoid a repeat of last year when Vladimir Petkovic signed for Switzerland with a similar amount of time left to run on his deal.

Il Corriere della Sera believe any new deal will see an improvement in the manager's pay, which currently leaves Pioli among the lowest paid managers in Serie A.
