26/11/2014: Mauri: "We must take all three points"

In an interview with LazioStyle Radio, Stefano Mauri voiced his opinion on recent performances and looked forward to Saturday evening's encounter with Chievo Verona:

"In the last two games, we did not have the mentality we have had and we have to find it. We've been too erratic this season, not in the performances, but in the approach from game-to-game. To become great, we cannot afford this."

The Lazio captain was asked about Lazio's tendency to concede goals and difficulties in clawing their way back into games:

"There are many variables that affect a game. In recent years, we have struggled to come back [into games]. Sometimes, we do not enter the field with the right mentality, and that makes the overall goal more difficult to achieve."

"We know we concede and it must be fixed, it happens too often. Fans have come to realise that this Lazio is strong and competitive. We need to work on preparing for every game as if it is a final."

"We look at the calendar, but we cannot make calculations, it is not possible. We must focus on every game. Otherwise we struggle. Chievo will be difficult to play, they are always tough to play at home although history has been favourable. We must take all three points. The league is close, other teams have difficulties, but we must look at ourselves."
