05/12/2014: No more back pain for Klose
email print

Miroslav Klose who had problems with a back pain is feeling much more comfortable after staying 24 hours in Germany and the national team's doctor - Muller-Wohlfahrt. Pioli's plans were to use the German striker in the cup game against Varese and start with Djordjevic against Parma but now things might turn around and we could see Klose start against Parma.

The other good news for Pioli is that both Novaretti and Cataldi are back in the group. The Argentina defender had some problems with a flue and didn't take part in Wednesday's cup game while Cataldi suffered from a long term injury and his season starts now.

In today's training game Pioli started with a 4-3-2-1 formation with Mauri, Cataldi and Klose in attack. All three of them managed to score for the final 3-0 victory. The other option for Pioli is to start against Parma with a 4-3-1-2 formation with Mauri behind Klose and Djordjevic. Candreva's injury which will take him off the field for the rest of the year will surely give a chance to Anderson or Keita and another tactical option for Pioli might be to start with a 4-3-3 formation seeing Anderson and Mauri as wingers and Klose or Djordjevic in attack.

Pereirinha, Gentiletti and Ciani are surely out of the the plans while Ederson is under a question mark until the last moment.
