21/04/2011: Carrizo: I want to stay at River
email print
Juan Pablo Carrizo whose loan expires at the end of the season, spoke to TYC Sports about his desire to stay in Argentina.

"If it were up to me, I would stay in Argentina. But sadly, it is not. The whole matter is in the hands of Passarella. He knows more than I do about the financial situation of the club, and thus I have to respect whatever decision they take." said Carrizo to TYC Sports.

"Up until now, Lazio have not spoken to me, and it is not my job to initiate talks, thats the job of agents. I want to stay at River because I am playing better, and I would like to stay at least one more year here" concluded Carrizo.

Rumours have been circulating recently about including Carrizo within a deal that could see some River Plate player move to the other side. Something that was confirmed by Passarella, but the difference is that while Lazio are insisting on Lamela, Passarella considers the player of a much higher value to depart with this easily.
