Coach Stefano Pioli and captain Stefano Mauri both spoke to the media following the 3-0 victory;

"We wanted to find our rhythm and we succeeded. The league is balanced and all games are difficult, but today I saw a very compact and convincing Lazio", stated Pioli.

The tactician was then asked about the speculation surrounding Miroslav Klose potentially leaving the club and the race for Europe;

"Klose? He is a great player and he always contributes to this group. He is happy here and intends to stay. He is a crucial player for Lazio".

"The Champions League? This season is very long and there are a lot of direct competitors. We want to finish in the top five and to get back to Europe, that is our aim. Our next challenges will be very important but we have to think only game by game. Now there is Inter next week and we must prepare as well as possible for that match. I have a great group of professionals in my squad and with the work we are currently doing, we can go far".

The media then shifted its attention to the captain and asked him about his new role and the remainder of the season;

"I feel good physically and I am playing in a role that I like. I do not give points of reference to my other positions but I often find myself in front of goal in this role. I am happy".

"We must continue playing well because the season is still long and we have tough matches all the time. In November we had three games in a row where we did not play well with Empoli, Juventus and Chievo. We wanted to come back to playing as we know best and especially to return to positive results. Now we have won three games in a row in Serie A and the Coppa, we are enjoying the moment and will try to finish the year in the best way possible, against Inter. After that we will see what we can do".

"We know that there are still many things to improve on, especially in terms of the game, but at this moment it was important to get a result at home because we were missing it for too long. We have taken some important wins recently and will try to do the third next Sunday to finish off the year", concluded Mauri.
