Edy Reja spoke to Lazio Style Radio about the upcoming game against the bianconeri on Monday. It was clear that Reja was still bitter from the loss against Inter, but now is trying to overcome the loss with a win against Juve.
"I still have not gotten rid of the disappointment of Saturday against Inter. We had a good game, but again, we were unlucky not to finish the game. What I think we lack is a bit of maturity, and decisiveness in front of goal."
But now uncle Edy looks forward to the Juve game, which will preceed a mouth watering encounter in the week after against Udinese.
"I am happy so far with our preparations for the game. We will be facing a wouded team whose minimum goal would be Europa League, but my aim is to avenge the loss in the 1st leg when they scored in the 95th minute, and I would like to repay them by scoring in the 95th minute" said Reja.
Turning to Udinese, Reja said: "Udinese are better away than they are at home, I hope they continue like this."
Mauri has been suspended for two games, and Reja will be missing him badly considering the importance of those two games.
"We have submitted an appeal." said Reja. "We hope that we can have him with us against Udinese."
But Reja should be concerned with the possibility of seven players from Lazio missing the game at Udine, should they pick up a yellow card against Juve. These players are: Brocchi, Ledesma, Bresciano, Biava, and Dias.
"I am worried about this, but we cannot do anything about it, all the games are important and we cannot but give it our all." said Reja
But Reja continues with firm belief: "We always play to win, we must not be afraid of anything. If we believe 100% that we can do it, then we will. It is true that we missed a great opportunity to close the. race against Napoli and Inter, but this just shows you how much our destiny is in our hands".
A final call goes to the fans who until now reached around 25,000 tickets. "Their contribution is crucial. We need them to be the 12th man on the field. They must push us to help us achieve this target, that the best optimists did not expect we would be able to achieve this season."
