Udinese have been suffering consecutive defeats lately. And to their good luck, Lazio has been suffering the same, or else the battle for the 4th position would have been over a long time ago.
Both teams are concerned by the number of refereeing mistakes against them, and the fans are worried and disgruntled by the issue.
A statement on Udinese's official website has called the fans to a "Panolada" show in the stands. Panolada is the action of waving white handkerchiefs to show disapproval and is widely used in the Spanish League.
The disapproval is mainly directed towards the external influence, and the statement said: "The fans are requested to protest in the hopes of seeing a game in the name of sportsmanship and without any external influence. Lazio are invited to share with us the sporting values on the field."
Such an action will definitely feed the conspiracy theories going on about the battle for the 4th place, as Edy Reja have clearly expressed that AS Roma is favored for the position. While Lotito has said that Lazio seems to be unfavored. It seems that Udinese officials share the view of Lazio.
On the other hand Di Natale has spoken to the press and said: "The game against Lazio is crucial, we cannot be nervous. But there are only two teams which deserve the champions league, it is Lazio and Udinese. Definitely not the giallorossi, and neither Del Neri's team. However in the end, only one team will get that position."
