Hernanes spoke to Sky after the game as he entered the club's history after equaling the number of Pavel Nedved as Lazio's most scoring midfielder with 11 goals.

"We have done our job today and now we await the end of the day tomorrow to think and assess the race for the champions league qualification." said Hernanes.

Hernanes also spoke about how the team started the game, and the changes in the second half: "We lost three games in a row, this affected us on the field today in the first half. But at half time we spoke in the locker room and we all wanted to fight and give our all, and it happened !"

Hernanes then committed himself to Lazio when asked if he will stay even if Lazio don't get Champions League football next season: "I have a 5 year contract and I am very happy here in Rome and playing for Lazio, yes I will be staying !"
