Lazio President Claudio Lotito has been referred to the disciplinary committee by the FIGC for his statements against CONI president Gianni Petrucci. Lazio as a club was also held responsible.

The FIGC prosecutor Palacio has considered the statements issued by Lotito to the press with relation to the dispute with CONI concerning the debt owed by Lazio to CONI as offensive and damaging to the reputation and prestige of the institution (CONI).

The statement referred specifically to the speeches of Lotito in which he mentioned that CONI were using extortion to have Lazio pay the outstanding debt of 2 million euros.
