In a message sent to Lazio fans all over the world Fernando Muslera today waved good bye to Lazio after four “beautiful years”. Contracts are not signed yet, but everything seems to be settled for the Uruguayan national shot stopper to complete his move to the Turkish giants Galatasaray once Copa America is over. As Lorik Cana, who moved in the opposite direction in the transfer estimated to be worth around €8.5 million, passed his medical yesterday and was added to the squad travelling to Auronzo di Cadore all signs point at the deal bringing Muslera to Turkey is done. The shot-stopper last night said: “Everything is now over. I had four beautiful years with Lazio, but now is the time to move on” after representatives of the Turkish side flew to Argentina to persuade Muslera to accept their offer.

On other news, it is believed the addition on Djibril Cisse is very close. Yesterday most thought the transfer saga would come to an end, but the negotiations with the player’s agent hit some smaller obstacles as the player wished for slightly higher wages in order to sign the contract. It is widely believed that Panathinaikos will receive €6 million for Cisse, and that the player himself is to make €2.1 million in a four year contract if accepting Claudio Lotito’s final offer. The agent has flown to Greece in order to present the final offer to club and player and everything point at the Frenchman accepting the deal and moving away from the Greek club, where he has even been named “Romeo” Cisse since stating he will join the Italians for the coming season.

Regarding Sergio Floccari, the player who has been expected to be the one that will have to move in order to make space for Djibril Cisse, things are close to an end as well. “He is now on the market, we do not want unhappy players in the squad” Claudio Lotito was heard saying on Radio Kiss Kiss today. Cesena, Genoa and Parma are all interested but none of the teams seem to be ready to pay the amount Lazio want for the player, in cash. Rumours are therefore intensifying regarding a swap with either of the teams, bringing a defender and/or midfielder to Rome. Lazioland has earlier reported Marco Parolo could be moving to Lazio from Cesena, and the agent of the player is still awaiting a formal request from Lazio, after Cesena president Campedelli once again asked Lotito for Floccari.

Lastly, today’s update on Mauro Zarate taken from Repubblica.it. Once again it is Madrid that seems to be his next destination, as the Spanish side will want to replace Sergio Aguero once he departs. Zarate’s father was heard saying “Mauro only thinks about going to pre-season camp with Lazio. But we have spoken about Madrid and he could be going there”. Zarate has stated on numerous occasions that he will stay with Lazio this year, and both the player’s agent and Claudio Lotito have underlined this as well, but it is believed the player could leave the club if a bid exceeding €20 million is made.
