  11/07/2011: Auronzo di Cadore: Day Five
email print

As we have come to expect over the last few days, the players spent most of the morning in the gym before heading onto the field to carry out some basic exercises with the ball.

In the evening, things got a touch more competitive. Edy Reja got straight down to business by arranging the group into three teams of ten as he did last week. The teams were as follows;

The Green Team - Marchetti, Garrido, Biava, Zauri, Cavanda, Ledesma, Ceccarelli, Foggia, Makinwa, Del Nero.

The Red Team - Berardi, Lulic, Dias, Scaloni, Cana, Brocchi, Bresciano, Mauri, Floccari, Rocchi.

The Sky Blue Team - Marchetti, Radu, Stendardo, Diakite', Konko, Hernanes, Matuzalem, Sculli, Zarate, Klose.

To clear up any confusion, the games were one team against another. The third team were asked to work in phases with the attackers dealing in delivering crosses and supplying finishes with the defense tasked with keeping the ball out of the net.

All games were five minutes long with each team playing twice. The only enocunter that saw goals was between the Red Team and the Sky Blue Team. The reds prevailed with Klose putting away a header and Hernanes scoring brilliantly on the counter.

Reja then divided the team in two and had them working on the attacking phase with Marchetti between the sticks.

The training session ended with one final game although it was far from the most entertaining clash with the game ending all square with little to talk about. Here are the teams to satisfy curiosity;

Team 1 - Berardi, Radu, Stendardo, Diakite', Konko, Ledesma, Matuzalem, Hernanes, Sculli, Zarate, Klose.

Team 2 - Marchetti, Lulic, Dias, Biava, Scaloni, Cana, Brocchi, Bresciano, Mauri, Floccari, Rocchi.
