The rumours around possible transfers continue to flood the media, and below come a quick round-up of today’s reports:
Zarate is by many seen as the name that will be linked away from Rome most frequently the coming days and weeks. The Argentinean has been linked to a move to Atletico Madrid, which seek to replace Aguero once he has completed his move away from Madrid. Today however, the idea that De Laurentis is looking at Zarate in order to complete Napoli’s attack has emerged, and the club president believes a bid in the region of €20 million will be needed for Lazio to sell the player. All according to Amo Calcio Napoli.
Another Lazio player that is linked with a move away in the near future is the French defender Mobido Diakité. The 24-year old has been at Lazio since 2006, but has never managed to establish himself as a starter at Lazio, and has apparently attracted interest from three clubs across Europe. According to TMW Dinamo Zagreb, Hoffenheim and Lille have all asked for the service of the central defender, but an official response is yet to be made by Lazio president Claudio Lotito.
One name that has been mentioned on numerous occasions this summer is Marco Parolo of Cesena. Once again the name has hit the spotlight, and now it seems Fiorentina has been added to the interest list of the player. It has long been expected that the player would be included in a deal where Pasquale Foggia would be heading in the opposite direction, but also this deal is yet to be officially commented on.
Lazioland.com has earlier reported on the interest shown in signing Bosnian international Pjanic, whom coach Edy Reja has targeted as his final wish for this summer. Lyon, the club to which the player today belongs, has been told by the player’s agent that Pjanic wishes to await offers from other clubs rather than extending his contract with the French powerhouse. According to corrieredellosport.it it is an official approach and contract proposition from Lazio that is attracting the interest of the attacking midfielder.
Lastly, Francelino Matuzalém’s agent Umberto Fusco has commented the discussions around his client being on his way out. Fusco was quoted saying “Francelino has had a great camp in Auronzo di Cadore and feels he is a part of the plans for this Lazio. The team is stronger than before, and the player has no wishes but to stay and do his best for the team. He is in top shape and is most definitely seen by coach Reja as important for the coming season” in a short interview with Radio Manà Manà. The comments are to be seen as an answer to the latest transfer talks linking the 31-year old to Genoa, where club patron Enrico Preziosi is an admirer.
